On the last day of the annual Week of Dialogue, Paris was targeted again by terrorists. On 7 January 2016, one year after the attacks on Charlie Hebdo, we get together to open up a dialogue about freedom.
Freedom of speech, freedom of thought. Freedom of choice and the freedom we feel to express ourselves. What does freedom mean to you?
We are all more alike than we are different, and our commonality as human beings opens the door for connection and conversation. Having a dialogue means thinking and acting in ways that connect you with the speaker, i.e., open-minded listening, free of judgement and with appreciation for what is shared.
Every life is a story that deserves to be told, everyone has had a special experience of kind or another. Find it and bring it out, almost anything is a dialogue in the making.
